Designing Spaces for Life's Stories.
Every home tells a story — but sometimes it takes an outsider’s eye to help you see what it’s really saying.
I founded Studio Seferlis, a London-based interior design studio, to help people create spaces that evolve as naturally as they do — interiors that feel expressive, lived-in and quietly extraordinary.
Our Approach
My work begins with understanding who you are, how you live, and what truly makes you feel at home — so that you can move through your day with more ease, pleasure and connection.
It’s about shaping the feeling of a place — the light, rhythm, textures and details — so that you don’t have to chase trends or start over every few years.
Design should feel effortless and deeply personal. I spend time learning about your routines, quirks and aspirations, so that you can feel seen and supported in every corner of your home. Whether it’s a new build in need of soul or a period property seeking balance, I help you bridge aesthetics and emotion — refining what’s already there into something timeless.
About Johan
I’m Johan Seferlis, a Swedish-born interior designer based in London. My background spans fashion, branding and design direction — all centred on the question of identity and how it’s expressed through the spaces we inhabit.
Before founding Studio Seferlis, I designed menswear collections in Sweden and led creative projects for international brands in fashion and design. Those years taught me to see design as storytelling — every texture, proportion and tone contributing to how people feel in a space.
Moving to London expanded that vision. Working across interiors, styling, and creative direction, I developed a way of designing that is both intuitive and deeply structured — balancing emotional resonance with practical refinement.
My Scandinavian roots bring a natural sense of clarity, restraint and functionality, while life in London adds richness, warmth and contrast. Together they shape a design philosophy that values honesty, texture and a sense of calm amid complexity.
